Paros & Antiparos Beaches
Paros has countless beaches, ranging from long and sandy to very small, popular and more isolated ones, featuring beach clubs, umbrellas and sun beds or offering unspoiled natural beauty. It could be said that there are beaches on Paros & Antiparos to suit every taste.
Serviced beaches are usually long and shallow, always sandy, easily accessible by car and also public transport or small boats, with beach bar-restaurants, some quiet with chilling music, others more uplifting. At some places there are water sports schools with national and international championships in the summer.
Less crowded beaches with a few umbrellas and trees for shade, and a couple of tavernas to dine. They may have fine or thicker sand, rounded pebbles or small stones. The usual visitors here are small groups who like a quiet swim.
More isolated beaches range in size. If you are in a adventurous mood, along Paros’ coastline searching for that special beach, you will be pleasantly surprised. Ask around for directions and tips.
ANTIPAROS beaches are the boast of the island, all with crystal clear waters. There are a couple of central ones with some umbrellas and beach restaurants; following the main road you will come across many beaches, some also with fish tavernas. Following off-road routes and walking trails, you will come across more isolated swimming spots.
A boat ride to nearby islets is a favourite, spending a whole day at isolated beaches under the sun and coming back to town in the late afternoon.
